This German guy has been spending most of the last 65 years putting together an extensive skyscraper city made of card/cardboard:

Wow, wish there were more pictures. Searching does not bring up more with his name. Ahh the days as a lad making architecture and exhibit models with only chipboard, glue and xacto... would just be given some sketches and explaination from the exhibit designer and some rough dimensions and then have at it. After some photos and knoodling more instructions from the designer to hack and whack it some more with other ideas, repeat.
