Japan gets 2018 disaster bingo as M6.7 earthquake hits Hokkaido

It struck near Iburi, Hokkaido, just south of Sapporo, just after 3 AM Japan Time.

Chitose airport suffered some damage and there are no flights at least today. Also major power outages and train cancellations all over Hokkaido.

 

This power outage film of Hakodate is pretty impressive. Reminds me of the scene in The Matrix 2
