nah00 Posted August 24, 2018 Share Posted August 24, 2018 It's probably slightly earlier, I'd say early to mid 50s, by the end of the 50s they completely phased out their steam locomotives. Still a bizarre but effective film, shows you how dangerous humping cars was before it was all controlled by the yard tower. Also nice shot of a GG1 and some Pacific Fruit Express reefers far from home. The interlocking tower featured before the near-collision still stands today on the North Eastern Corridor, Norfolk Southern owns it but doesn't use it for anything except storage. 1 Link to comment
