gavino200
I'm looking for a small shrine for an "urban area" that I'm planning. The loose theme of the diorama is "Little Ebisu". When I visited Tokyo, Ebisu is where we stayed, so I got a bit of a feel for it. I remember there was a small, apparently old shrine nestled in between shops and new buildings. That's what I'm going for. Not necessarily a 'copy' of the Ebisu shrine, but just a nice looking small shrine that I could work in without it standing out. I found this one. Can anyone tell me what model this is? Or suggest another? This is the Ebisu shrine, from google earth. https://imgur.com/jWTctBJ Edited November 13, 2018 by cteno4 fixed imgur embed Link to comment
bill937ca
There are some hidden shrines in Akihabara. There is an Inari Shrine in Akihabara. https://muza-chan.net/japan/index.php/blog/casual-sightseeing-tokyo-inari-shrine There is an Hanabusa Shrine up a creepy narrow passage. https://tokyobling.wordpress.com/2014/01/06/the-hidden-shrine-of-akihabara-hanabusa-shrine/ 2 Link to comment

gavino200
I think this is the shrine I was asking about. It's a Tomytec. I don't remember seeing it before, though I know I've looked at the entire "Building Collection" multiple times. It's funny how you often don't really see something until you have an interest. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10191787/30/2 This one is also nice. And similar to the Ebisu shrine. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10340728 I might try to find a figure of a little kid with a book in his hand. Getting a temple stamp for his "Stampu" book! bill937ca
I made a small shrine several years ago using pieces from the Greenmax Godown and Storehouse kit. Now there are also kits from Sankei. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10190747 3 Link to comment

So if you don't know what do with a small plot of land between two buildings, you can build a full shrine there... 1 Link to comment
