It was a little cool, cloudy, and windy, but we were on a mission. The first stop was Garden of the Gods. KoMu-san in focus, the scenery - not so much. Another stop in Garden of the Gods. Pikes Peak in the background among the clouds. KoMu-san wanted to see one of the Pikes Peak Cog Railway steam locomotives on display in the park in Manitou Springs. Next stop - The North Pole - not as far from Colorado Springs as you would think. KoMu-san is barely visible below the F in FOR. There, we went train-spotting. KoMu-san was nearly taken out by the cow catcher in his enthusiasm to get extra close. Then, back down the hill to the remnants of the 1887 Colorado Midland roundhouse. There is a brewery out of picture to the left. Finally, we stopped downtown to see the commemorative display to Colorado Springs' sister city in Japan, Fujiyoshida. KoMu-san is barely visible here too. Good effort there buddy,no big deal if we can t see it properly,we know it’s there👍👍😀 1 Link to comment

gavino200
After chugging across the country the tour car finally makes it's way to Omaha. It passed by a lot of cornfields on the way. Here it is reaching the city limits. Stops to meet some of the locals 1 2 Link to comment
gavino200
At last, the car reaches Layoutland. A news crew shows up for the unloading. Unfortunately it looks like the camera man got squished by a forklift! The Tomytec truck collection gets opened, to provide suitable transport. And off we go, taking the train goodies into town. Finally, the model train goodies make it to the retail store. The n-scale peeps can now buy their own n-scale trains 🙂 Edited November 4, 2018 by gavino200 6 2 Link to comment

IST
Sorry for the late post, my life is a little bit messy nowadays. After kvp and before Coromant, KoMu san visited me also, so I gave him the chance to run a few round on my T-trak modules: I brought him to the Margaret-Island here in Budapest, so we could visit there the small Japanese garden: KoMu san allowed to have a picture about us together in the winter and cold, but at least sunny weather: Thank you for the opportunity and really sorry for the late post!
