MU-ing 0 Series sets

A neat blog post about abandoned plans for MU-ing together two 0 Series Shinkansen sets.  The automatic nose cone is a neat feature, and while the gangway would probably have never been built it's a cool design.  Its almost like gangway you would find on a sifi spaceship.  I know somewhere there is a picture from 1964 of a test run of two 16 car sets running coupled nose to nose, what a neat future that never was.  (although JR central does run 16+16 700 series on occasion, as crew training for a simulated breakdown)
