Extending buildings

I have acquired a few Tomix buildings which can be stacked in configurations of 2, 3 and 5 storeys (probably higher if other kits involved)

In line with the convention of being able to re-figure layouts etc, does anyone know or use any glue/fixative that I can use to keep them together, yet allows them to be taken apart easily should i want to make them smaller or combine with other units?  Preferably something that can be bought in the UK

I often use small amounts of water soluble synthetic white wood glue for this. Fully removable as long as you only use it to hold together injection molded plastic parts.

Thanks kvp.  That sounds a useful and worthwhile solution - with the added bonus that I have some in my shed at the moment!
