Tokyo Metro, Ginza Line 1000 series "Kumamon wrapping train"

Tokyo Metro has announced a limited time Ginza Line 1000 series "Kumamon wrapping train"  to run from March 5 to May 31, 2018. Japanese language announcements from tetsudo-shimbun.com and tokyometro.jp .

Yeah I saw that on the Kumatetsu facebook page.

Now if only one of the manufactuers made it in N scale. Too bad that it’s not likely to happen any time soon with the 1000 series currently only existing as a Tomy train.

I can see Tomytec having a go sometime in the future.  They have already done 2 car Kumamon Kumaden trains before, so these don't seem a stretch for them.  Same molds, just different painting.  2 end cars for Kumaden and 4 cars for Tokyo Metro.

If you mean why the 1000 series has yet to appear in 1:150, not really. I am just lamenting that I won’t be able to run a model of it alongside my Kumamon N700 anytime soon.
