@jingpeng Appreciate the update. i am interested in doing the same should it be not too hard. I would love to use the standard Nem coupler on N-Scale Kato/Tomix/European feright transport on the Changming Freight Locomotives.

On the P70 wagon it's not so difficult. I have to:

  • Remove the bogies and the frame
  • Unscrew and remove the original Changming coupling
  • File down 0.5 mm on each side where the original coupling was screewed (the NEM pocket width is 1 mm larger than the Changming "box")
  • Put a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue to glue the Dapol NEM pocket
  • Wait a bit to let the glue set
  • Insert the Dapol coupling in the NEM pocket
  • Make some test
  • Screw the bogies and refit the frame on the chassis

That's all. It seems a lot of work, but it's not really such an hard job

@Section31 by "standard NEM coupler" do you mean Rapido couplers? Kato andTomix don't do anything NEM, but they use Rapido couplers.

If that's the case, Changming has them, but we are the only one to retail them. They use to pack a pair inside the box of their early locomotives, but they stopped doing so a while back. When they more or less released what I call their 3.0 locs.

Not sure where to put this but apparently tinyhk trains were converted to be runnable trains. Another regional transit system that can be collected. So now motorized MTR train models exist to some extent. Interesting potential ahead

@Lessigen That would be good as TinyHK is not exactly great quality and decent detail (its known for doing hong kong theme stuff). Now i just need china/hong kong train station diorama to match.

Just doing the high speed rail station in hk even some of the major stations like central/admiralty will be lot of work.

Not an announcement, so I moved the conversation about TinyHK here, though obviously we could discuss the validity of merging HK with the Mainland.

It seems that today the DF7 should be available. The red one is very nice.

Tomorrow. Announcements are normally always on Wednesday and release on Thursday. These will for sure sell out instantly on TB.

@Section31 I very highly doubt this is the Changming CR200J. The models are schedule for release in 2 years, meaning they just started CAD drawings and haven't put anything in production. My translator is giving me strange results so I can't be sure of who made this, but I think it's a enthousiast-made model. Either that, or it's the first painted sample we see from the Aurora Miniature model. Which I thought had been cancelled.

To all, a small reminder, if you don't have the rights to the pictures or have been granted these rights, do not screengrab images and repost them on the forum. I do because I have asked permission to do so from different manufacturers. You are of course allowed to share links to the WeChat announcements.

@disturbman Thanks. I wasn’t aware there was another model. Looks great nonetheless.

I saw on same channel the dcc equipped china trains with sound. l am assuming they are changming ones because its something i might get if it as good as in that video.
