Section31
Just want to thank for the lead here. Ended up pre-ordering the ChangMing CR400AF-Z from Jscale. Hopefully there is CR450 version coming. Khaho side shipping has increased as well (HK Post EMS rate went up). So no more 80-200HKD Shipping anymore. I paid 400HKD for last shipment. disturbman
A new manufacturer just announced they would be releasing sets of the 22B passenger coaches in N. Rumor has it that Micro View was launched by Bachmann China's boss and the product pictures looks very good; on par with quality expected from Minitown and ModuFactor. So far, two liveries have been showcased. Due to the limits imposed by the Great Firewall, I'll post the product pictures they posted on their WeChat so everyone can have easy access to them. Section31
More of a question but do they have plans to make HO scale of CR400/450. It would be nice to have larger scale of the high speed trains. Link to comment
disturbman
There are currently no known plans for any CR400/450 in H0. Changming famously said on their WeChat that a H0 model of these trains would be too big/expensive. But it's possible that other manufacturers will try to do them. Bachmann China did produce a CRH3, and afaik several static CRH models have been produced. Edited March 11 by disturbman Link to comment
disturbman
Changming is back from their CNY hiatus and is currently busy re-releasing some of their older locomotives, with improvements as it's usual. Two weeks ago, they re-released their DF4C model with a corrected and improved cab design, and added a new Korean State Railway model after the runaway success of the previous one. Tomorrow, they will be re-releasing a new batch of HXD3CA, with one wearing a CHN Energy advertisement. DF4C The special liveries KSR model HXD3CA 3 Link to comment

The final portions of the previous incomplete model sets will likely retain Modu's name. Edited March 14 by Nozomi329 Link to comment
disturbman
Yes, the original rumor was wrong. But I can't share what I have been told. 4 hours ago, Nozomi329 said: The final portions of the previous incomplete model sets will likely retain Modu's name. Which ones are incomplete? Afair, all the A sets got their B sets released. But maybe I missed something, I didn't pay so much attention to the correspondence between both sets. I do know that the "Xinjiang is a good place" train is longer than what they produced, but they never talked about producing a full formation. Link to comment
Nozomi329
23 hours ago, disturbman said: Which ones are incomplete Seems like their X1K container train is somewhat incomplete, although I didn't pay much attention to that set so not sure either. The source mentioned that if the existing tooling for double decker trains are to be reused, they might still fall under Modu's name. Link to comment
disturbman
Afaik, the X1K were all released as A+B sets. I did had someone mention that these normally run in 24-car fixed formations and not 16, meaning they should get a C set. But that never was in the plans, and I never checked if that was true or not. 16 cars is already relatively long. Link to comment
Section31
Picked up one of the changming HXD3CA from Khaho (looks like inventory in). Been curious to try them while i wait on the pre-order CR400AF-Z. Link to comment

Don't think there has been any official announcement from CHANGMING as of yet. You can check their wechat to see any new product announcements: link. As for more info, Jacky from CNRailModel has posted a few pics from the same exhibition: link Edited 1 hour ago by disturbman images removed/links shortened Link to comment
disturbman
Except for the reservation announcements, Changming only ever does its announcements two days before releases. So there are usually very few to no infos around about upcoming models. We knew they were working on five "external corridor" locomotives and that the DF7 was likely going to be the first to be releases as they had showcased a prototype shell a couple of times. From the exhibition, we know that the DF7 will likely launch in a week or two; they are selling three models on site, unsure if these road numbers will be available for general sales. The DF5G is also ready and they have presented the shell of a DF7C as well. Models in order of readiness (iirc): - DF7 - DF5G - SS9G - SS7E - HXD3B Shells: - DF7C - DF7D - Beijing class - HXD1D - HXD3D - HXD1C (H0) Beside Changming, Bachmann China is showing off its QJ: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/Bh0_0357lfURbUhQYrkrgg. Release is still planned for this summer for the DC variant.
