miyakoji
Cool. Unfortunately what's left of Baldwin is a blue sign: http://explorepahistory.com/hmarker.php?markerId=1-A-3D6 I guess 1825 (loco production starting in 1832) to 1972 isn't a bad run. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldwin_Locomotive_Works Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Apparently this type (Debo 1) was in service until 1964, at the end on the Kashihara Line. Back when it was in mainline service on the Nara Line, it made the Nara-Uehonmachi run of 30.6km in 55 minutes via the Ikoma Tunnel, which when opened as tunnel with a double track bore was still unusual. marknewton
I'm sure that there's at least one of these cars beautifully preserved by Kintetsu. And to me they're beautiful cars, a wonderful mix of classic US interurban design with Japanes details. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
