gavino200
More of an idea than a "tool". Something like this is kind of a must for some jobs. They are available commercially but they're expensive. I'd rather spend the money on trains. :) 3 Link to comment

ben_issacs
Folks, Another possibility for a loco cradle. 12 inch long 3 inch by 1/2 or 3/4 inch timber base, two 1 1/2 inch by 12 inches timber sides to form a U shape, then a piece of blanket or soft cloth draped over the sides to form a U, and tacked to the upright timbers. Blanket could be bubble wrap. Regards, Bill, Melbourne. Link to comment
ben_issacs
Folks, Further to my previous post, the dimension are for HO scale, for N they could all be reduced somewhat. Regards, Bill, Melbourne. Link to comment
