Came across this site while researching what became of the real KuMoYuNi 143-1. Some excellent photos:

And now I'm fighting the urge to buy another Tomytec 143-1 and repaint it as 143-3 in Shonan or Yokosuka colours. Main problem is matching the factory paint on my RTR units, my last attempt at Shonan produced a somewhat dayglo orange rather than the more subtle shade used by Kato.

My most recent are a GreenMax RTR KuMoYa 90-100 (rebuilt from 72 Series stock with a KuMoYa 145 style body) and the GreenMax kit KuMoNi 83.

 

Annoyingly I can't find the KuMoYa 145 from Tomytec Vol.20 anywhere, Amazon have the GreenMax power and dummy pair but they're £112. I will be leaving space in the Casco box I ordered for the Tomytecs in the hope of finding the missing three later on.
