bill937ca
Tokyu is offering a model of the Tokyu 3600 at Tokyu's museum shop in Tokyo. It appears to be a Tomytec Tetsudo Collection item. It's been blogged here. http://jg3t-ymzk.asablo.jp/blog/2009/06/20/4381218 Usually we don't see production quantities, but two separate sources including Hobidas.com list this as being about 6,000 pieces. As far as I can see this model is not available from regular outlets. Only at the Tokyu Museum of Electric Trains and Buses, and only once paying admission. And then there is a limit of four. http://www.excite-webtl.jp/world/english/web/?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2Ftokyu.com%2Fshop%2Fe%2Fe00000001%2F&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2&wb_submit=+%96%7C+%96%F3+ http://www.excite-webtl.jp/world/english/web/?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tokyu.co.jp%2Frailway%2Frailway%2Fwest%2Flink%2Fmuseum.html&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2 A few have shown up on Ratuken and MSN auctions. Tokyu did a similar model of a 7000 train about two years ago and I don't believe it was available apart from Tokyu locations. Only in Japan. Link to comment
