Socimi
Skip to 0:55 This is the 3000 series of Sao Paulo urban railway network (CPTM), maufactured by siemens in 1998, using a similar inverter to those of the Keikyu 2100 series. It was the first Brazilian train with an inverter. https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/TUE_Siemens/Mitsui/SGP_-_Série_3000_(CPTM) An H0 scale model of this train has been relased by Brazil's only model railway manufacturer, Frateschi. http://www.frateschi.com.br/web/trens-metropolitanos/?lang=en Edited October 1, 2017 by Socimi 3 Link to comment
Kiha66
That's really neat, I wonder if the output frequencies of the VFD were also chosen for their sound. We use the technology a lot on ships for better efficiency when running motors at less than full load, but most of ours just make annoying whines rather than pleasant musical sounds. Link to comment
