London trams

This film was apparently produced to document London's double-decker trams just as they were being withdrawn in 1952.

An act of folly that we are still suffering from in London today. I suppose we do, at least, have trams in the south of London; linking Croydon and Wimbledon. Will we see them extended further into the city? I very much doubt it. 

 

I love those old BTF films...always well worth watching.
