brill27mcb
Well, the 2 new (Mainz and Nuremburg) trams are now in the pipeline to ship in a few days, and I have pre-ordered one of each. My only issue with this chassis design (basically three 4-wheel trams coupled together) is the funny way that it enters into and exits tram-style, tight-radius curves. As the front section twists into the curve, the rear section twists too, even though it is still on straight track. Rich K. Link to comment

PaulJ
I've just ordered one of each of these to go with the Berlin and Munich ones I already have. As an economy measure I've not bought any more powered chassis for now, it's easy enough to swap over the chassis when necessary. Also I've just had several of my existing Tomytec trams converted to DCC but can't really justify the expense of getting more done right now. Which reminds me, German web retailer DM Toys website has a 'DCC + SX' version listed for this chassis (at quite a mark-up), I'm assuming this isn't a factory fitted option, as I've never heard of this on Tomytec chassis before? Gryphr
They have that option for all analog models they sell. If you select it they will install a decoder before shipping it to you, so this markup includes the price of the decoder and the work done. Link to comment

bill937ca
The first of the GT6M trams are on the move to Eastern Europe. Zagreb in Croatia has purchased 11 trams from Stadtwerke Augsburg for the price of one new low floor tram according to some reports. All trams will be delivered by the end of December. These trams arrive attired in Zagreb's all blue paint scheme. https://www.zet.hr/aktualnosti/vijesti/prvi-rabljeni-tramvaj-stigao-iz-njemacke-u-zagreb/8249 Croatian language news reports: https://direktno.hr/zagreb/da-ovo-su-novi-zagrebacki-tramvaji-nemaju-klimu-tomasevic-ih-tek-treba-urediti-za-voznju-332613/ https://vijesti.hrt.hr/hrvatska/zagreb-polovni-tramvaj-iz-njemacke-11174834 https://www.vecernji.hr/zagreb/foto-video-prvi-rabljeni-tramvaj-stigao-u-zagreb-ima-27-godina-nema-klimu-1728336 Edited December 1, 2023 by bill937ca 1 Link to comment

bill937ca
Berlin: 30 Years of GT6N Trams On 26 August 1994, the low-floor era began in Berlin with the presentation of the first GT6N trams. By 2003, the fleet had grown to 150 vehicles in various versions, which were later modernized in two series in the 2010s. Today, this type can only be found on a few lines and mainly in the Köpenick area. Video coming in two days. Edited August 30 by bill937ca Link to comment
