Does anyone here know of a website that offers free or really inexpensive buildings and other 3D diorama accessories suitable for Z scale?

Look for N-scale downloadable buildings and print them at reduced scale.

assuming you want Japanese buildings, and if so I've not really seen any cheap or free ones in z scale, almost all at n. As ian noted you can just print them scaled down on your printer to bring them to the right size for z scale. There are a number of free paper craft buildings out there free that you can download, takes some searching and links change. Search paper craft buildings on google to find many. I'll dig up a few threads we have had on the subject here. Some of the Japanese speaking may have some search terms in kanji that may get good results as well.
