bill937ca
Hobby Search has a couple of new train sets from Kawai. Motive power is a three axle C Type critter. There are two freight cars with each set. It looks like something you would find on an industrial railway connecting to a junction with JRF or just in and around a large industrial plant. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10095282 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10095283 I know Kawai for freight car sets and scenery items. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/572/0/1 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/573/0/1 This is the first time I've seen a locomotive under the Kawai name. It's a set with interesting possibilities for small layouts and as stand alone industry on a larger layout. Link to comment
bill937ca
I found a somewhat similar locomotive on You Tube with this desciption: "This is a freight replacement locomotive (switcher) used at the Iwanuma freight station. I took a picture of this animation at Iwanuma station (Iwanuma city,Miyagi prefecture,Japan)on January 29, 2008. " Link to comment
bill937ca
I found more after a bit of searching. The one I like best is the two critters pulling a new Tobu EMU set. There's a scene. Buy a couple of add-on sets and have MU critters pull it from the factory into the railway shops! Most of these seem to be four wheelers. Link to comment
