JR 500系
Nothing very attractive, but please note that there are 2 really good items worth mentioning; https://hlj.com/product/TMT98607 A Tomix 225-6000 4-car set going for 50% off https://hlj.com/product/KAT10-1123/Rld This is surprising... A Kato E655 Nagomi going for 50% off! Now, should I click that buy it now for that 225-6000? One can never have enough 223/ 225s.... Edited June 21, 2017 by JR 500系 Link to comment

cteno4
HLJ is odd, they are not into rr stuff like their other areas any where near as much except for books and magazines. They do keep on going and at times have a few items at very good prices or odd stuff not found in stock at the usual places. Their virtual shopping cart makes it easy to shop over a couple of months and find a few gems or bargains and then ship them together. They also recently started a bonus point system that can build up some points! All in all they have been a quality shop, just not a huge selection of rr stuff. Jeff Link to comment
nah00
DE-10 and Wamu set for under $40, not bad. Link to comment
cteno4
I was tempted by that for a few seconds... Jeff Link to comment
nah00
I ended up getting it and the Tomy Pension (I have no idea what I'm going to use it for) and the house accessory set (comes with gas cylinders and trash cans). Link to comment

katoftw
You expect the same pricing in a sale 3 days later Charles? Link to comment
velotrain
kato - yes, when the site says the sale ends on June 30th Link to comment
Suica
I'm not seeing 50% off. Not on sale anymore. It was sold out the first day of the sale and then put on backorder. Now it's back for the usual price. So they sold old stock just to restock. :icon_scratch: Link to comment
katoftw
kato - yes, when the site says the sale ends on June 30th I suggest you read the terms and conditions about half way down noting prices and quantity numbers dot points. Edited June 23, 2017 by katoftw Link to comment
nah00
Does anyone know if this is able to be (relatively easily) motorized? http://hlj.com/product/PLZKCC-1/Rld Link to comment
katoftw
I have read somewhere about motorising the platz models. But cheaper still just to get the full price tomytec version. Link to comment
Suica
Does anyone know if this is able to be (relatively easily) motorized? http://hlj.com/product/PLZKCC-1/Rld I think you're better off looking for the Tomytec model on Yahoo. You can probably find an already motorized one for that price. I always wondered what the deal with these Platz models was anyway? They're just incredibly expensive and actually do look worse than the Tomytec counterparts. Sure, release-wise they beat Tomytec by like 3 months... Link to comment
