Shinkansenrailfan
Hi everyone, Is anyone able to suggest a good place to snap the Joetsu Shinkansen, within areas limited to around Tokyo - Takasaki? Would hopefully prefer a good spot where the Shinkansen is turning, perhaps get a full 16-car Max Toki Shot, that's not too far off a station. But anywhere is still fine, thanks! Another thing, could I get a link to check the Joetsu Shinkansen timetable? Link to comment
Suica
I don't really know about photo locations by the side of the line. But Kumagaya station should be good for full-train photos. Both, Joetsu and Hokuriku Shinkansen stop/pass through here. You can find the timetables for trains stopping at Kumagaya here. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Good lineside locations for shinkansen photography are almost nonexistent due to the extensive barriers/fencing/barbed wire erected for security. Even moreso on the Joetsu Shinkansen as most of the line is either in tunnel or on viaducts. So, as Suica noted, stations like Kumagaya or Takasaki are your best bet. Link to comment
