I'm puzzled by this one: Series 485-1000/1500 Katsuta Electric Car Office Type K60 (6-Car Set)

I would like to know how it looks like.

A quick google search gave me this. It surely is the K60. ;)

I'll store those posters here for posterity.

I'm all over the DE10-1692 (navy blue Hokkaido).

Yeah. It's a beauty. :)

edit: And I just ended up pre-ordering one... damn you JR Hokkaido!

disturbman,

Those red markings seem to give it a Euro-Swiss styling I think.  Pretty sexy though.

Cheers

I don't know, to me those don't look like anything I ever saw before. But I'm not really well educated in everything Swiss.

The return of the beloved JR Shikoku Series 8.000! Nice... but I already have two, I can't buy more.... decency command other wise.

"What's a "JR East Event Car"?"

I did a bit of searching but couldn't find anything, it must be something Micro-Ace hasn't made before or HS would have a stock photo to put up. I might order a set if I knew what it was. Anyone know more about it?

the only special event train i know of is the d51 in the pic on this link you can see what it's pulling but the description in the item doesn't say blue but that seems to be common with these old cars.

have no idea whats it's pulling in that pic but maybe one of you can i dentify

edit this is a vid *

the dates for rebuilt and the description in the item on hs seem to correspond so i'd say this is what it is.

This is the list of cars in the five cars set copied and pasted from the HS description, "Suhafu 42-2234, Okha 47-2266, 47-2261 Okha, Okha 47-2246, 42-2173 Suhafu", so they are not the 12 series set that runs with D51 498.

Is there a Micro-Ace coming release poster somewhere with a picture?

P.S. did a bit more googling and found this.

The complete posters will come out later, MicroAce is having some troubles updating its Website since the Earthquake/Tsunami.

seems you can't change the couplers. however they do look tight in the picture.

the couplers would be only thing holding me back if they do look horrible.

Maybe some one else will release (hopes for tomix all wheel pickup)

thoughts on this anyone?

What's wrong with the couplers? The Microace couplers are body mounted, swing out type. Car gap is inconsistent but they do couple well and best of all, uncouple very easily.

Tomix makes the 0-2000 (small windows) with all wheel pick up:

2 completely different sets (IMHO).

Fenway Park

The October list includes the two coach sets both of which are very expensive.  The re-releases are welcome though.

However, the EF55 appears to have the old problem of the flangeless wheels on the front of the bogie. The alternative wheels when fitted will not let the loco round reasonable radius curves.

Yet another version of D51 498 with more improvements but now the Kato version is out it is just a case of MA extracting more money from the tooling.

Also Kato are now targeting the old MA market with their new ED16 and Hoki 2500 hoppers.

The MA DD54 has just been released nearly 6 months late and from the HS photos on their site the cab detailing appears to more prominent than the Kato version.

yes but long sold out and not in stock to the tomix site so looks to not be returning for some time or a long time.

you're right they are different i don't have a particular pick in which series of the 0 it is i would just like one.

had bad experience with micro ace models and couplers.... so i'm a little caustious specially when they can't be replaced with tomix ones.

I hear you guys.  I have the Kato 0-2000 on wait list after examining all the images on HS a month or two ago.  I don't like the couplers on any of the models and the Kato looked the most typical.  I hope I can change them easily.
