kmcsjr
I'll post pictures tonight, or over weekend, but... motor cars like the one in 10-195, where the whole chassis is the smallest sub part, in the kato diagram. The motor and brass strips seem held in place by a plastic cover. The motor tabs fold over the strips and are held in place, by the ubiquitous clip used in so many models. Anyway I tried taking the plastic cover off, but on all of my sets, I unclip, at the corners, of the plastic "car floor" but the middle is held tight. 1) is there a trick for removal? I'm hoping to just put kapton tape between the motor tabs, and the brass strips and solder in a decoder, without cutting anything 2) has anyone done this, that could share the things to look for? I'm going to set the car on a test track and try to be sure it's isolated. Hoping to not sacrifice a decoder, to the experiment. Enjoy the weekend folks!
