I wonder has Hankyu and JR West considered something similar. Can you imagine 2x1 seating Green Car service on certain Special Rapid (shin-kaisoku) runs from Osaka west to to Himeji, Osaka east to Maibara, and Osaka south to Hineno during commute hours.

Keihan has just posted its Facebook video. No word on pricing.

 

But for those of us who take it several times a week, I can imagine a reserved seat on a Premium car being very tempting on the ride back from Yodoyabashi to Demachiyanagi after work + dinner. Especially with wife and baby together.
