old Kato E231-500 Yamanote Line

Hi,

 

I have some questions in regards to this very old Kato model. 10-258/259 Kato E231-500 Yamanote Line.

 

I know this is the first generation released on 2005 and maybe the spare parts were already discontinued.

 

Can we use the spare parts from newer sets such as 10-578 or 10-890 for motor unit, couplers (both for motor car and intermediate car) and the LED lights for head/tail lights? If yes, can it be installed directly or need some mod as the new tooling might be different than the old one?
