Check half-way down my post here: http://modelrail.otenko.com/japanese-trains/osaka-japan-november-2016 Parts of the viaducts have been constructed, but there's no ramps either side, nor a station up top. So the video above, seeing 100s of trains a day, will happen for the near-future. 1 Link to comment
bikkuri bahn Posted April 3, 2017 Share Posted April 3, 2017 Fans of flat junctions such as at Awaji Sta. got a reprieve, as the date for completion was delayed for another 7 years. So elevation of the line(s) will tentatively be completed by FY 2024 rather than FY2017, and full completion probably around FY2027. If you want to see it in its most interesting state, sooner is better than later though, for as construction continues, sight lines get obliterated and station premises take on the "underground/underpass grotto" atmosphere.
