sandiway
I just got two trains I've been searching for, the Maple red and orange Eizan Electric Railway 900 (Kirara), and one I haven't been looking for, the Keihan 800. Then Maple orange one is brand new. The red one is mint. I've added pictures of them both to my Kyoto N-guage webpage. See links here: http://elmo.sbs.arizona.edu/sandiway/ngauge/index.html#eizan http://elmo.sbs.arizona.edu/sandiway/ngauge/index.html#keihan800 (The full project webpage is http://elmo.sbs.arizona.edu/sandiway/ngauge/index.html.) 4 Link to comment
Das Steinkopf
The Keihan Keishin is a favourite of a number of the modellers here as well as the Ishiyama Sakamoto line, I stayed in Otsu for 5 days back in April 2015 and that is what inspired me to get into Japanese N scale, I will be back in Kyoto in about 6 weeks time and will be spending half a day in the Lake Biwa area riding both lines of the Otsusen. We are staying in Shijo so I will be having a look at some of the sections were the line used to run around Keage and Misasagi, I will also doing some site survey work around Kamisakaemachi for a future layout. We have a popular thread on the Keihan Otsu line models here: http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/9842-keihan-Ōtsu-lines-model-trains/ I have google spreadsheets for all the Eizan and Keihan Otsu line trains (see my post signature) also ... here is a webpage showing off custom Eizan 800 series cars which haven't been released as RTR models yet http://poppo.plala.jp/new_page_245.htm Edited March 2, 2017 by Gordon Werner 1 Link to comment
sandiway
Wow, so much knowledge and interest in such a tiny line. I never used to think much of the Keishin or the Ishiyama-Sakamoto line. Whenever I wanted to go to Biwako, I'd simply bike there from Kyoto University. But recently, I've been deliberately riding the line for no reason. Yesterday, I was on the Ishiyama-Sakamoto line going back to Kyoto via Hamaotsu, having walked over to Lake Biwa from Kyoto University via Enryaku-ji. And I saw one train (609...) that had pictures of a line of monks, water with ripples, etc. Edited March 7, 2017 by sandiway 1 Link to comment
