Jace
While looking for photos on the railway connecting the Yawata steel works in Kitakyushu, I came across a site with a mother lode of industrial locomotive photos: http://eurofima.way-nifty.com/aux_amis_des_trains/cat21717468/index.html All kinds of goodies on the Yawata line including freight cars (here's the table of contents alone): http://eurofima.way-nifty.com/aux_amis_des_trains/cat21395063/index.html And then there's this shelf layout candidate in Itoigawa: http://eurofima.way-nifty.com/aux_amis_des_trains/2012/05/post-ce8f.html http://eurofima.way-nifty.com/aux_amis_des_trains/2010/06/post-681b.html Any models of the cars? Looking at satellite photos, there doesn't seem to be any equipment on the line. I wonder if it's been shut down since 2012. Happy browsing! 6 Link to comment
President1755
Hello, I am the owner of the site "Aux Amis des Trains". Thank you for the introduction. Also today, denka's industrial railway in Itoigawa Oumi works is now operating. http://eurofima.way-nifty.com/aux_amis_des_trains/2012/10/post-f337.html Because the limestones trains run only 2 or 3 times a day, you cannot see the shape in aerial shoot. I hope you enjoy the Japanese industrial railway. :) Greetings 2 Link to comment
Jace
Hello Mr. President and thank you for sharing the excellent photos! Thanks also for the update on the limestone trains, I'll try and arrange a trip out that way the next time I'm in Japan. While I don't (yet) have a site up with my photos, I do work on and around industrial type locomotives in the US including electric units like this: http://www.nycsubway.org/perl/show?67657 Currently figuring out how to build some new diesels!
