Sacto1985
A YouTube user did this zenmen tenbou video of the recently-reopened (I believe) portion of the JR East Jōban Line from Harunomachi to Sendai: While the video quality is not the best, you can easily see the areas most affected by the 2011 tsunami, which hit particularly hard south of Sendai. Note the new alignment between Komagamine and Hama-Yoshida Stations, especially the switch to viaducts for much of this part of the route. 4 Link to comment
Sacto1985
For those, interested, here's a much better-quality zenmen tenbou video of the same route, taken by YouTube member VVVF-GTO on December 10, 2016: 2 Link to comment
Sacto1985
Speaking of the Jōban Line, I wonder has JR East thought about restarting the Hitachi limited express service from Tokyo to Sendai via this line once the full line reopens in 2020? Link to comment
