Jace
To borrow a phrase from the old X2200 South magazine. For those interested in spending lots of time looking at photos of a wide variety of mainly Japanese trains in the 1960-70s period, I came across the following site today: http://satoyama.in/sharyo.html. The photos are generally black and white, many of quite good quality. This site will be of particular interest for those with a traction attraction as there are quite a few fleets (some quite obscure) covered in detail. A sample shot from Kure: http://satoyama.in/info/sharyo/img/imgBD299.jpg. Like me, the photographer liked to spend time around the shops so there are many photos of work equipment and of former cars now serving as sheds and offices. Here's a rather elegant example: http://satoyama.in/info/sharyo/img/imgBD694.jpg. Plenty of photos. I suggest a slow work day... 5 Link to comment
velotrain
This site has color images of many grounded freight cars, with my favorite being the Tora 90000 based house a little ways down. http://kagatetukki.blog.jp/archives/cat_598558.html?p=3 1 Link to comment
