katoftw
Got the newly re-released set in. Noticed the wheels on Annie and Clarabel are just black plastic. Wondering if anyone has changed the wheels to metal ones to keep them consistent with your other N scale rolling stock? Edited January 12, 2017 by katoftw Link to comment
Takahama Trainwatcher
I guess you wouldn't want to leave them parked on a busy line if you were relying on block detection. Link to comment

Unless the coach has lights or you apply some resistance paint or an SMD resistor across the insulated side of the wheelset block detection won't see it at all, but the way Thomas has accidents it probably wouldn't matter anyway. 4 Link to comment

When you can't rely on detection, introduce manual block working - easy! :) https://railsafe.org.au/trim/procedures?RecordNumber=D2013%2F77739 Cheers, Mark Link to comment
HantuBlauLOL
probably the standard 5.6mm ones? btw i don't think you means standarizing for blocking. Link to comment

Our NGR trains don't always trip track circuits so the guards on test runs have to call in clear at each station. Link to comment
VJM
Also interested in changing the wheels over on Annie and Clarabel, as the plastic tends to transfer onto the railhead over time and degrade the wheels (not to mention cleaning the rails). I believe Annie and Clarabel should have spoked wheels... not sure of the appropriate replacement. Need to look it up. Link to comment
