bill937ca
Here is a video of various shopping streets around JR Kyobashi station in Osaka. Lots of details: bicycles, banners, store fronts, vending machines, a few trucks and other vehicles usually under a narrow glass roof. Panaceland video. Suica
This is great! I love these shopping streets near stations. Reminds me a bit of the streets near Kobe's Motomachi Station. Speaking of Kobe, there's a shopping street I like even better. It's called Motoko Town. It's a narrow, dark shopping alley right under the tracks almost all the way from Motomachi Station to Kobe Station. Some of the shops there seem super shady but it's a side I love about Japan. 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Kyobashi... a very nice place. I stayed there in april 2015 and this certainly brings back memories... It is relatively cheaper to stay there and use it as a base for exploring Kyoto/ Osaka while being easily connected to the main lines with the Osaka Loop line... Also, the Keihan hotel right on top of the Keihan station is a great spot for watching Keihan trains, best for the Keihan train fans! 1 Link to comment
