These are some great photos of Shinkansen trains taken up close in Tokyo showing details all around the trains. These photos were taken at the Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan building on the 3rd floor.

From a North American perspective it's hard to believe how close the high speed trains are to the pedestrians in these next two photos.

Every time I see pictures of Japan it makes me want to go to www.jal.com and order a ticket =)

You're telling me! I sat and watched shinkansen (over a bowl of curry! yum!) from the street level at this very spot! God, I miss that place, and these photos do not help.
