Sage79
Hello, I'm interested in this group because I've got a small N gauge Japanese prototype layout that I set up with equipment I bought in Tokyo while living there in 1995 & 1996. I am a serious HO scale US-prototype modeller but have recently resurrected my N since I have grandchildren that want to see all of my trains: G, Lionel, HO, N, Z. cteno4
hey welcome Sage! careful playing with the n scale japanese, might get you leaning that way more! also hanging around here as well! the japanese n is great for kids, i just set up ttrak at thanksgiving for my 4 yr old grand nephew and he did fine with getting trains on and off the track and running them! chers jeff Link to comment
Sage79
The Unitrack power routing switches and MRC transformers as well as the table height I have does make it better for the kids to run. My HO Railroad is DCC in combination with a CTC level-style panel running Bruce Chubb's C/RMI behind the scenes so it's much more involved and also more than 4' high. I actually roll the Japanese layout under part of the HO one. Link to comment
