NXCALE
Hi all, I was wondering if someone could recommend a software for video edition. I know that there are many out there but it would be great if there is one with the following characteristics: Freeware/Open Basic edition only required: put videos and picture together, cut videos, add subtitles, change/mix background music. Effects and other options are optional. Not really resource demanding – my laptop is quite old (low memory and low speed). Cheers, Nxcale Link to comment

westfalen
Movie Maker that comes with Windows is surprisingly good, I have Windows 7 version so don't know what the current version is like though. Link to comment
NXCALE
Yes, I did not mention it. The O.S. is XP (believe it or not) and only 2gb of ram. I have been thinking about getting a new laptop. However, the one I have is very reliable and I basically manage only documents with it. Thanks in advance! Link to comment

I'll second that! The basic movie maker that comes free with windows in your laptop and do some nice basic videos! Like this amateur video which I made using movie maker for example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KY0BrObp-eI&feature=youtu.be You can add introduction slides, ending credits, transition effects, music, trim, cut etc. with it ~ Edited December 5, 2016 by JR 500系 Link to comment
