Suica
For 'just' 199,999.99 € you can now buy DB E03 002, the very first Baureihe 103, on eBay. Even though she's numbered "002", she actually was the very first pre-production locomotive delivered in 1965. She was completed before her sisters 001, 003 & 004 and was presented to the public with fake plates disguising her has E03 001. She's been privately owned for more than 10 years now and has been rather nicely restored. Unfortunately she's not able to run. Oh yeah, and have fun picking up your 110 ton locomotive. :P I wish I had that kind of money. I just love the Baureihe 103. :love10: Edited November 23, 2016 by Suica Link to comment
serotta1972
Let's start a GoFundMe for Suica so he can purchase a 1:1 Scale Baureihe 103. Maybe they can knock a couple of thousand dollars off the price since it doesn't run. You can convert one of the cabs into living quarters and or storage for all your model trains. :) 1 Link to comment
railsquid
Classic front-line locomotive... I've got the Fleischmann model (of the later production version) and very nice it is too. 1 Link to comment
Densha
I saw one of these in TEE livery on a passenger service at Köln Hbf back in the summer of 2010. It's far from a great photo, but it's better than nothing... 1 Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
I think I'll stick to a model version of it, or multiple model versions ;) 1 Link to comment

I was in Munich last week so I took some fresh photos. Her older sister 103 113 is also based in Munich and used occasionaly on EuroCity services to Austria. They are the only two BR 103 still in regular DB service. 3 Link to comment
