Sheffie
A little bit of woodwork to cut some boards, a spot of metalwork to get some supports, and a touch of gaffer tape to stop it all flapping about. This, while I wait to see what kind of work Fedex office can do with their banner printing service 4 Link to comment
Sheffie
Earthquake! cracks opening up in the ground, trains and containers everywhere... it doesn’t get much more Japanese than this. 3 Link to comment
RMB
Added a staircase, a fence line, some greenery and gravel down the side of my N scale shop. 9 Link to comment

Sheffie
I finished off the shrine area with bushes and extra trees. I’m very happy with it. 9 1 Link to comment

Is it possible to merge the http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/13078-what-did-you-do-today-on-your-layout-ho-and-other-scales/ thread into this one, too? (If not, it might be an idea to close it with a note to post further developments in this thread...) Link to comment
cteno4
Michi, thanks that one got left behind, it’s moved over to the layout forum as well. The threads are big so we will probably be leaving them separate for now. jeff 1 Link to comment
Pauljag900
For anyone who maybe intrested,at the weekend I made a shortened version movie of the progress of my layout. The story so far, 9 Link to comment
serotta1972
Great job, Paul on Layout version 10.2. 🙂 Love all the different scenic elements and you always manage to integrate them all in the space you have. Thanks for sharing. 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Super works as always Paul! I love watching how the layout progress from scratch to that beautifully detailed Fukuoka city! The rock face is amazing work, the roads and cow/ pig fences kinda reminded me of the android game 'Hay Day', the soccer field is lovely and that highway, just wow! So much action around I don't know where to focus! Kudos on a great job done Paul and thanks for sharing! You're an inspiration! 1 Link to comment
dgreen787
I spent some of my holiday yesterday cleaning off my train table and setting track back up. I had noticed the Kato layouts posted in another thread, and this one caught my eye as it will just fit on my table and I think would be a good fit for a Kyushu layout loosely based on Isahaya station on the Nagasaki and Omura lines and the coastal areas around Omura bay. I already have a large chunk of the necessary track, just missing an extra #4 and #6 points and the curves that don't come in the M1/V1/V6 sets, so the order for those pieces and a few more station buildings was a relatively paltry 10k yen. https://www.katomodels.com/unitrackplan/plan/plan03-8.pdf I also ran a couple of my newer trains that haven't made it out of their boxes yet. Had a small heart attack when I realized I'd botched the connection between two of the curve pieces on the edge of the layout, and my brand new Sunrise Express took a tumble. Fortunately no pantographs or other small pieces were lost, but the windows on the left side of one of the cars popped out and refuse to get back in quite as flush as they were originally. Another car also lost a good chunk of paint on one of the corners, but fortunately no other damage that I've found (yet). 4 Link to comment
TRod
Invited Davo around to my house. We sat in the shed and ran some trains, wood fire going, for FIVE HOURS! He fixed the coupler on one of the Seven Stars coaches. Great evening. Edited July 7, 2019 by TRod 6 Link to comment
Kiha66
Well I finally have time and space to work on my layout again, so here we go! Benchwork is done other than the legs, those will be added when I know what height the track will be to match up with Paul's AsiaNrail modules. First up is laying out track and cutting the foam to size. 14 Link to comment
Pauljag900
Made a small curved picnic area with pond for the far corner of the layout. I ve also made a start on the city area street lights.I m holding off on the building lights because if my idea of the freeway across the city works out then I will more than likely need to shuffle the buildings about to accommodate the supports. 10 Link to comment

I just finished cutting all the blue skirting to use at that height so I hope so. 1 Link to comment

Martijn Meerts
I covered up my layout with some thin plastic painters tarp to protect it from dust, does that count? 😄 2 Link to comment
cteno4
Yes because dust is the enemy. jeff Link to comment
Pauljag900
With the arrival of the power supplies and my wife and daughter away in Spain for the week I had a bit of spare time to finally connect up the city area street lights and the first three high rise buildings while I was under there. my attempts to hide the sparse interiors by using coloured acetate for the windows proved a futile attempt!😂😂 10 Link to comment
