velotrain
While looking for something else, I came across this interesting photo. I was first impressed by the extreme density of the track, looking much more like a model railway than a real one. I have some experience of the Kiso Forest Railway, but wasn't used to seeing such a line in the context of a town. I'm guessing it could be 30" gauge - the closeness of the pole to the track suggests a narrow loading gauge. Here is the site: http://sikokumori.exblog.jp/19814906/ Google translate does a decent job with it. This led to another forest railway town, much larger and busier - this looks like it could be a more modern railfan event, due to the density of varied equipment and other factors. From: http://sikokumori.exblog.jp/19958482/ Some of the steepest grades and sharpest curves I've ever seen. 2 Link to comment
