NXCALE
Hi all, I think that this was already asked before and it could be a basic question but... Could someone share a circuit of a CDU for Tomix? If the example (or examples) shows values for the components would be great. Thanks and cheers, Nxcale p.s.Sometime ago, I found an example that look quite good although I am not able to find it again. Link to comment
kvp
There is a thread about them somewhere with some of my drawings. Basically, you connect the ground leg of the capacitor to ground, the other leg to one wire of the turnout and switch the other side between power and ground with a single pole, double throw switch. For a single turnout at 12V DC, 1100uF is usually good, 2200uF for twin coil turnouts. For two or more turnouts, use a separate cap for each and connect them parallely. The result is a single control wire per turnout group and a common ground for all of them. Link to comment
