Ended up ordering Iwakuni Castle.  Will need to practice and work on my modelling skills before starting to build.

 

Iwakuni Castle was original built in 1608, dismantled in 1615, and rebuilt in 1962.  I've visited the castle a couple of times while I was in the Marines.  

 

What got me interested in this model was my '80's and '90's deployments to MCAS Iwakuni, and my great-great ancestral link to Miyajima Prefecture.  Also, this model has the smallest footprint of all Woody Joe Models ;)

Will look forward to your experience with the woody joe castle! I must admit I've looked sideways at woody joe kits after a glass of wine or two and it's dangerous!
