buckingham
I have just secured a model from an ebay auction and it is beautiful :love10: The loco is an EF510 Northern star. The blue passenger coaches come in separate generic Kato plastic cases, but without ref. nos. I am not sure what they are or in what order they should be configured. I am guessing some sort of sleeper? The nos. on the sides of the carriages are: 24-110 - this I assume would be the last carriage as it has lights and a destination plate 24-703 24-701 25-125 25-701 25-701 The last two are not the same even tho the same number on the side. One is many windowed with what looks like a corridor down one side and the other has 4 high level windows and less windows in the body I have searched on line and get various sets but not one which matches mine. Any ideas you clever folk? Alan Link to comment
Suica
Pictures would greatly help. But I think what you bought there are these http://www.katomodels.com/n/24kei_25/ Though some of those numbers can be found in the Asakaze set http://www.katomodels.com/n/24kei_asakaze/ Edited September 24, 2016 by Suica Link to comment

Suica
Also any idea of the meaning of the sign on the end carriage? It's the head mark of Sleeper Express Fuji. As I don't know much Japanese all I could find is that these must be older 24 series sleeper cars. I also found two catalogue numbers: KATO 5040-1 for the OHaNe 24-703 KATO 5025-1 for the KaNi 24-110 1 Link to comment

katoftw
The EF510 northern star has nothing to do with the series 24 sleepers. The "FUJI" serive ran between Toyko and Oita. EF66, EF81-400 and ED67 were used. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuji_(train) Link to comment

Davo Dentetsu
Hokutosei? Well, if you ignored the headmark on the coaches, that could easily be the budget way to do one, yeah Link to comment
