It also look as if at least one tie plate is cracked. This joint needs work before it gets worse. Link to comment
keiichi77 Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 Nothing wrong with that joint, at least by north American standards. It is common practice for railways in North America to only use 2 fasteners per tie plate, and as long as there isn't several ties in a row with loose fasteners the track will stay in gauge. Many railways in my area only wish their track was this good. ;) Link to comment
NXCALE Posted September 9, 2016 Share Posted September 9, 2016 a potential bobbing track that could generated an intermittent detection, a nuisance for the system. slow operate relays or train detector receivers with a safety feature (a delay after receiving a valid input signal) to manage it.
