hans-diesel
Hi all, The DD51 with 1500 hp engines are called "update B", correct? The livery that they have is called "DF200" because it is the same grey and red like the 6-axle diesel locomotive DF200, correct? Now something more difficult. I only see DD51 in DF200 livery with numbers that belong to the subclass DD51-500. Are there DD51-800 with the DF200 livery? I know that the DD51-0 subclass was already out of service before JRF. Thanks in advance, Hans Link to comment
katoftw
The livery is just the JRF livery at the time of painting. The JRF livery has changed over the years. So when the loco gets a paint job as part of an update, then it will get a new livery. Link to comment
miyakoji
Hans, if the link below is correct and up to date, I think that 800 subseries locomotives did not get the DF200-like livery. The chart shows 15 in the 1000s and 1100s, which I believe is considered part of the 500 subseries, that got the DF200 colors. http://hyper783.mods.jp/photo/kamotu/dd51/index.html Link to comment
hans-diesel
Thanks both. So just at the moment of the update also the DF200 came. Thats why they have the same colors. The list from the link is almost the same as the list that I created based on Google image search. Hans Link to comment
