Sacto1985
A YouTube member recently posted a zenmen tenbou video of a trip on the JR East Shin'etsu Main Line from Naoetsu to Nagaoka Stations, filmed on 29 March 2016 from a 115 Series EMU: Wow, talk about olde tyme (yes, the misspelling is intentional) passenger train travel: old stations, relatively slow speeds and pretty loud traction motors from the 115's. As more and more E129's enter serivce in the Niigata area, I wouldn't be surprised not long from now this route will be taken over by the E129. 3 Link to comment
miyakoji
Nice. Too bad it's a trade-off when making video on these Tokai type trains. Either you leave the camera zoomed out and get a lot of the train interior on your screen, or you zoom ahead and you get that weird slow-moving effect. Bummer :) Edited May 28, 2016 by miyakoji Link to comment
Sacto1985
By the way, I saw the entire video and saw two E129's going the other way. I wonder has JR East begun to deploy the E129 on the Nagaoka-Naoetsu route. Link to comment

Sacto1985
An update: another YouTube member has finally recorded a zenmen tenbou video of the trip between Naoetsu and Nagaoka, this time from an E129 EMU (2-car numbered A17) going geographical west from Nagaoka to Naoetsu: 1 Link to comment
