railsquid
One month on from the main Kyushu earthquake and we just had this little M5.6, max intensity 5- in the Kanto area. Only intensity 3 in the Tokyo area, but of the type which pumps up and down (縦揺れ) and noticeable outside; certainly felt alarming enough to move away from vertically-orientated objects with inherent downwards potential (I was pushing the squidlet around the neighbourhood as he wasn't sleeping), and enough to shut down train lines (Tokyo Metro, Tokaido Shinkansen) for a short while and trap people in elevators. Note to self: check toilet paper stocks. 1 Link to comment
