Nick_Burman
A rare film of a cab ride aboard one of the Dowa Kogyo Katakami Tetsudo railcars from Katakami port, through Wake (connection to JNR's San'yo Main Line) up to the mine, presumably taken shortly before closure. A lovely ride up the hills of Chugoku... Incidentally, what did Dowa produce there? Copper or iron ore? Cheers NB Edited April 9, 2016 by cteno4 5 Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
According to wikipedia, the mine yielded iron sulphide. Link to comment
ToniBabelony
Nice footage! That takes me back half a decade ago where I was planning on making a layout, based on this railway. Maybe I should revive this old idea, as I'm slowly getting back into these railcars (and I actually own a Dōwa Kōgyō KiHa 302). Combine it with narrow gauge... I think I have an idea that could work... Link to comment
