MicroAce Keikyu 1000 - A-1367 vs A-0070/71?

MicroAce has re-released? a Keikyu 1000 - A-1367. The price is nearly 4 times what the original A-0070/A-0071 releases went for.  Does anybody know what the upgrades are to this re-release to justify the price?  I suspect it includes a more modern motor.. but.. anything else?

However MicroAce does seem to have jacked up prices for new releases considerably, presumably due to their production issues in China

Agreed. At least 30% of the increase would be production costing issues being passed on.  The other 70% could be anything.  It is a shame MA are pricing themselves like this.  But they gotta do what they gotta do.

 

I have noticed both Kato and Tomix have had slight increases recently also.  But nothing to MA recent scale of increases.

I do hope MA doesn't release something that I want, otherwise I will also be hit by the price hike... It's really quite crazy, like 30,000yen over for just a 8-car set... 30,000yen over is close to a limited edition 10-car box set...
