Greenmax vs Tomix replacement engines

Which one of these two are quieter and is most efficient. I've used the GreenMax but am just wondering if the Tomix runs better.

Greenmax have just started releasing their model with newer motor units.  Better all around compared to their older motor units.  I don't own a Greenmax train.  But descriptions online always had the older units as noisey.

 

Tomix I find are noisier than my MicroACe and KAto trains.  But I'm thinking it has more to do with the Kato throttles I'm using and power frequencies.  I'm not good at explaining those electrical things, so someone like kvp will have to add info regards this subject.

 

Kato and MicroAce are the quietest trains I run, I have only run them on Kato throttles.  No experience running them on different power sources.
