cteno4
Another easy way to make water surface texture with artist gel medium. Really pretty simple. I've seen a number of Japanese scenery tutorials do the same process with PVA glue. But I worry the glue may not work as well as artist gel medium or be stable from cracking or yellowing with age and any uv exposure or temp swings. Artist gel medium is very stable stuff. Spaceman Spiff
That's basically what I did with mine. Good stuff to work with. Spiff 1 Link to comment
velotrain
The question is . . . could you make artist gel large waves? Link to comment
cteno4
Yes you just build them up. I've seen presentations where they did larger beach waves and breakers like this. Usually build up the shape and put some color layers down then clear layers and top with white dry brushing to do the foam/froth. Jeff Link to comment
