ToniBabelony
Keikyū and the Taiwanese railways seem to have a quite strong relationship going on. This is also not the first train in Japan to have Taiwan related advertising on it (it's basically advertising sponsored by the Taiwan government to promote tourism). Keikyū and Enoden have had trains with advertising on them for Taiwan, but this is indeed the first time a complete livery has been done. The livery itself is fictional and a combination between an EMU500/600 and standard passenger carriage: Link to comment
Suica
All of this makes me wonder if there are trains with Japan-related liveries in Taiwan? Link to comment
ToniBabelony
All of this makes me wonder if there are trains with Japan-related liveries in Taiwan? I don't think there is an economical demand for that, since this is all part of a campaign to generate more numbers of Japanese tourists in Taiwan. A lot of trains in Taiwan are actually Japan-made, so that is already plenty for most Taiwan interested railfans. Other countries of origin of rolling stock in Taiwan are: Korea, the UK, South Africa, Italy and domestic made. Link to comment
